But it sounds the same only in that it's also a sort of bluegrass style. The tempo is more upbeat, so more appropriate for the segment after our hero finds some gold.
For future reference, I'd suggest a possibility I intend to use myself when I reach that stage: Musical performances rendered in MIDI or other digital format capturing the sequence of notes played. In such formats you can with comparative ease manipulate the tempo, the selection of instruments etc. The sound quality depends on which digital system executes the performance. Depending on how original and inventive you want to be, you can also modify the melody and harmony, or compose your own.
Thanks for your suggestions, but I'm not at all into music, and I'm not planning to become good in it I want it to be okay, but that's it! For future animations, when they get more serious and better, we work together with people who're studiing music.
Oh, one other little point and I'll leave you alone. As testament to the excitement conveyed by the Foggy Mountain Breakdown, it was used in the Movie "Bonnie and Clyde" about a pair of notorious bank robbers, behind a roaring cross-country chase scene with blazing guns, cars skidding and overturning etc [link]
I haven't done any studies, but I have the impression computer animation is an exploding field just now. I think eventually it will almost completely replace live action movies. It's an exciting field to be getting into. I have a lot to learn about it myself. Giving away a personal secret, my philosophy is that the computer should do as much of the work as possible, and it should be largely self-taught (like Watson on Jeopardy -- Google it).
I couldn't disagree more I think it's important that there's a person behind it, how can you expect your character to be alive, to have his own personality, if everything's being calculated? Of course, the computer is a great tool, and I love special effects, but I think lately people are a bit overusing it. Yeah sure it looks great, but you don't have to use everything just because you can.
Geweldig!
